2008 was the year that obscenity, sex and nudity didn't sell in Hollywood. Movies with strong moral values and inspiring stories full of positive faith outperformed, by 2 to 1 or more, films with foul language, explicit sex and nudity.

Now, there are always exceptions to the rule. A good example would be the box office hit, "Parenthood". The film contained some foul language, but was nominated for 2 Oscars, and another 4 wins and 7 nominations...very successful. Let's take a look at a clip...
