Ever hear of the LifeStraw? PermaNet? ZeroFly? These are products developed to help the less fortunate, those areas of the world where clean water is almost non existent and insects wreak havoc on human health.
The company, Vestergaard-Frandsen, led by CEO, Mikkel Vestergaard Frandsen, is focused on making the world a better place, addressing tough, tough problems facing much of the world's population.
I read that Mikkel's company spent $3,000,000 in an attempt to screen as many Africans as they could for AIDS. This was a challenge, because in their culture there's a stigma associated with even asking someone to test. But, they were able to screen 50,000!
