Had a great day, today. Thanks to Danny Arnold from Plex. He showed us around his Sugar Land facility. I got to meet Houston Oiler great, Alonso Highsmith. If you're a professional athlete, Plex is where you get stronger, faster, better! Check out their clientele here.

I finished the day off with a walk to my local Chick-fil-A with my oldest son and we ran into the cow...sweet!

the miracle of life

My uncle just passed away...minutes ago. We'll miss him very much, he was a good man.

What I find interesting is that I was watching this video when he passed. Life and death, the beginning and the end. Many babies do not have a chance to live, because some where along the line, we Americans, forgot the sanctity of life.

My uncle lived a full life. He had struggles, like us all, but it always intrigued me how close his family was. He was indeed, the patriarch. He was the glue.

I am thankful that his mother and father decided to allow him to live. My life was better off for it.

hennessey performance

Spent some time at Hennessey Performance, yesterday. Wow! $260,000 cars that were fast to begin with, then John Hennessey and his crew do their magic, adding more speed.

Thanks to Dave, John's General Mgr, who gave us a tour of the place. We did experience a bit of anxiety as Dave handed us adult diapers, then drove us out onto their drag strip where they test cars. Dave was driving a 600 hp Cadillac and I was wondering if I would be screaming like a little girl as I looked out my window, watching the countryside swoosh by us doing a 150 mph. But, he was gentle with us.

Think you've got a hot car? You can take a look at some of John's creations on his website, http://www.hennesseyperformance.com or check out these beauties from our visit: http://tinyurl.com/chq9c7

glenn beck, ted nugent @ a tea party

Spent the day bakstage at the San Antonio Tax Day Tea Party with 16,000 of my closest friends...well, Glenn Beck's friends. Glenn did a great job of voicing the concerns of all those present.

The day was amazing. The crowd was civil, polite and picked up every scrap of trash before they left! The Alamo is the pride of Texas and was the perfect place for a civil rally to voice the opinion of those currently being ignored regarding out-of-control government spending and a seemingly lack of representation on the matter.

Ted Nugent ripped a mean version of the Star Spangled Banner just after he had some kind words for certain government officials.

And, I got to meet one of America's newest heroes, Ron Hall, co-writer of "Same Kind of Different As Me", which is currently being made into a movie. Ron and his buddy, Denver, have helped raise $30,000,000 for the homeless across America. The pic is me with Ron Hall and the sparkling, Janine Turner of Northern Exposure/Friday Night Lights fame.

I love my country, I love my state. I love my God and he was well represented by people like Doug Phillips, Janine Turner and Adam McManus.
