move over bonnie hunt

Before she landed her own talk show, super-lady, Bonnie Hunt, was tagged as the best talk show guest on television. But wait, move over Bonnie, say hello to the newly crowned best talk show guest, Matt Kutcher!

That's an interesting title given Matt is always behind the camera, not in front of it. Matt is one of Hollywood's top special effects gurus. Having worked over 80 films/tv shows, ranging from Tombstone, to Snakes on a Plane, Cold Case and American Carol, Matt truly is a genius.

Starting his career as a young welder/mechanic, helping his dad and a neighboring car shop who built Hollywood cars like, Kit, the General Lee, and the A=Team van, Matt blossomed into one of the best.

Matt is one of the "good" guys. A one-woman kind of man in the middle of the seemingly valueless, Tinseltown, Matt has kept his moral compass. Committed to building a strong family, he often travels with his 4 kids. I asked Matt what was the most important thing he's ever done and was expecting him to tell me he never blew himself up, but, "raising his kids" was his answer. The 200+ in the audience loved it!

Thanks, Matt, for coming on the show. Hope to see you and your lovely wife, Monica, real soon.

Look for footage from Saturday night's show, coming soon!

i pledge

Have you seen the video Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher created, "I Pledge"? At first, I was thinking to myself, "C'mon, you got to be kidding me. You wouldn't do this under the Bush Administration?" But, hey, if this gets people involved in their community, I'm all for it. So, c'mon America, be good to each other and find somewhere to serve!

coming of age

Independent films with a Christian theme maybe coming of age. The 2009 Independent Christian Film Festival had a huge turnout, the winner walked away with $101,000 and showcased films like "Fireproof", the highest grossing independent film in the U.S., bringing in $33M!

This is great news. Our media options are riddled with suspect values, pushing destructive agendas on our families. I expect to see some great things come from the ICFF. Learn more at http://www.independentchristianfilms.com/.

congrats to warner

Congratulations goes out to one of the truly "good" guys in football, Kurt Warner. Kurt has played amazingly well this year, even though he started the year as the backup quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals. Now he's going back to his 3rd Super Bowl!

Check out his interview right after the NFC Championship game:
